Washington Allows Loan Originators to Work at Remote Locations

Washington adopted rules allowing loan originators to work at remote locations. Under the rule, a mortgage lender or broker licensed under the Consumer Loan Act or the Mortgage Broker Practices Act may allow loan originators to work at a remote location if certain conditions are met.  “Remote location” means a location other than a licensed location, principal office or registered branch office. The rule adoptions become effective January 1, 2023.
