VA issued Circular 26-21-17 setting forth requirements for requesting a partial claim payment under the COVID-19 Veterans Assistance Partial Claim Payment Program (COVID-VAPCP). Per the Circular, servicers must request a partial claim payment no later than 120 days after the date the borrower exits the COVID-19 forbearance. The requirements went into effect July 27, 2021 (to align with the effective date of the COVID-19 VAPCP final rule).
