VA Issues Circulars 26-17-22, 26-17-24 and 26-17-25: Special Relief Following Severe Storms and Flooding in Iowa, Idaho and West Virginia

VA issued Circulars 26-17-22, 26-17-24 and 26-17-25, describing measures mortgagees may employ to provide relief to home loan borrowers affected by severe storms and flooding in Iowa, Idaho and West Virginia. The measures include: the forbearance of loan payments; a 90 day foreclosure moratorium; the waiver of late charges; and the suspension of credit bureau and VA reporting.
