VA Announces Full File Loan Review Update to Include Optional Upload of Uniform Loan Application Dataset and Uniform Closing Dataset

VA issued Circular 26-22-05 (Circular), announcing a new optional procedure in which lenders may upload the Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) and Uniform Loan Application Dataset (ULAD) for loans selected for VA full file loan review (FFLR). Per the Circular, for loans selected for a FFLR, lenders may submit the UCD and ULAD, in addition to the loan origination file, using 1 of 2 submission methods. Beginning in April, the UCD and ULAD may be uploaded using WebLGY. Beginning in October 2022, the UCD and ULAD may be uploaded using a new VA Loan Review API. The changes announced in the Circular became effective April 6, 2022.
