Tennessee Amends Annual Expiration Date of Industrial Loan and Thrift Registrations

Tennessee passed a bill amending the annual expiration date for registrations issued under the Industrial Loan and Thrift Companies Act (ILTCA). Under the bill, a certificate of registration issued under the ILTCA now expires on December 31st of each year (rather than March 31st). The bill also repeals the annual report required under the Tennessee Residential Lending, Brokerage and Servicing Act. The bill generally becomes effective July 1, 2017. However, the amended expiration date for registrations issued under the ILTCA went into effect April 1, 2018.
