Oregon Creates Standalone Definition of Gender Identity

Oregon passed a bill removing gender identity from the definition of sexual orientation in state law and creating a new standalone definition of gender identity. The bill also added gender identity to all statutes that reference sexual orientation. The bill went into effect June 23, 2021.
