New York Prohibits Discrimination Against Victims of Domestic Violence

New York passed a bill prohibiting discrimination against victims of domestic violence.

Under the bill, a lender may not discriminate against an applicant or borrower based on the applicant or borrower’s status as a victim of domestic violence. The bill went into effect May 13, 2022.
