Nevada Authorizes Mortgage Employees to Work at Remote Locations

Nevada passed a bill authorizing mortgage employees to work at remote locations. Under the bill, a mortgage company licensed under the Mortgage Company and Loan Originator Act may authorize mortgage employees to work at a remote location if certain conditions are met. “Remote location” means a location, other than a principal office, branch office or other office or place of business at which an employee of the mortgage company conducts the business of the mortgage company. The term includes the residence of the employee. The bill went into effect June 15, 2023.
