Nevada Amends Foreclosure Notice of Sale Requirements

Nevada passed a bill amending “notice of sale” requirements with respect to judicial foreclosures. Under the bill, a “notice of sale” must be mailed to: each person that has recorded a request for a copy of a “notice of default” or “notice of sale” with respect to the mortgage being foreclosed; each person with an interest in the property whose interest is subordinate to the mortgage being foreclosed; and any association that has recorded a request for a copy of the deed upon a foreclosure sale. The “notice of sale” must be mailed by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested with postage prepaid. The bill becomes effective January 01, 2022.
