Idaho Amends Disclosure Requirements under Residential Mortgage Practices Act

Idaho adopted rules amending disclosure requirements under the Residential Mortgage Practices Act (RMPA). The adopted rules eliminate disclosure requirements duplicative to federal law. The following disclosures are repealed: The Interest Rate Lock/Float Information; the Interest Rate Lock-in or Term Confirmation Agreement; and the Idaho Prepayment Penalty Disclosure. In addition, the adopted rules update references to federal law in the RMPA. The adopted rules went into effect March 25, 2016.
