Freddie Mac Eliminates Market Condition Credit Refinance Fee

Freddie Mac issued a single-family update notice to announce the elimination of the market condition credit refinance fee. The market condition credit refinance fee is currently charged in the form of a 50 basis points (0.500%) loan-level price adjustment when a refinanced mortgage is delivered to Freddie Mac. Per the notice, Freddie Mac will no longer assess the market condition credit fee in price for certain cash-out and “no cash-out” refinance mortgages with a settlement date on and after August 1, 2021.
