Florida Permits Loan Originators to Work at Remote Locations

Florida passed a bill permitting loan originators to work at remote locations. Under the bill, a mortgage lender, broker, or servicer licensed under the Mortgage Brokerage and Lending Act may allow loan originators to work at a remote location if certain conditions are met. “Remote location” means a location, other than a principal place of business or a branch office, at which a loan originator of a mortgage lender, broker, and servicer may conduct business. The bill went into effect July 1, 2023.
