FHA Rescinds Mortgagee Letter 2019-06: Downpayment Assistance and Operating in a Government Capacity Guidance

FHA rescinded Mortgagee Letter 2019-06: Downpayment Assistance and Operating in a Government Capacity Guidance. The Mortgagee Letter went into effect April 18, 2019.  The rescission is effective immediately. Per FHA, the definitive policy guidance for FHA’s downpayment assistance program continues to be found in Section II.A.4.d.ii. of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.
