FHA issued Mortgagee Letter 2016-14. The Mortgagee Letter informs mortgagees of updated procedures for the evaluation and use of FHA’s loss mitigation home retention options, the manufactured housing review before initiation of foreclosure, and the servicing of FHA-insured mortgages for servicemember-borrowers. The Mortgagee Letter also updates procedures for mortgagees reporting foreclosure delays due to a federal law and mortgagees using independent third-party providers to conduct claims without conveyance of title property sales transactions.  Mortgagees must implement the policies set forth in this Mortgagee Letter no later than December 1, 2016.
