FHA Adopts Uniform Residential Loan Application for Title I Loan Programs

FHA issued Title I Letter (TIL) TIL-489, adopting the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) for the Title I loan programs. Per the TIL, FHA replaced Forms HUD-56001 (Credit Application for Property Improvement Loan) and HUD-56001-MH (Credit Application for Manufactured Home Loan Improvement Loan) with the URLA (FNMA Form 1003/FHLMC Form 65). In addition, FHA established a new Addendum to the URLA for Title I Loans (Form HUD-92900-TI). The provisions of this TIL must be implemented for case numbers assigned on or after May 8, 2025 (lenders may, however, may be implement the provisions immediately).
