Fannie Mae issued Servicing Guide Announcement SVC-2022-02 (Announcement), setting forth updates to the Servicing Guide. Per the Announcement, Fannie Mae clarified requirements related to the completion of transfers of ownership of a property, removed the requirement to suspend reporting to the credit bureaus for US servicemembers and their spouses in certain situations, and updated the Lender Record Information form (Form 582) to require lenders and servicers to certify the servicer maintained policies and procedures that ensure timely monitoring of Special Flood Hazard Area mapping and administration of flood insurance at the loan level. The Announcement is effective immediately.
