Fannie Mae issued Selling Guide Announcement SEL-2021-01 (Announcement). Per the Announcement, Fannie Mae clarified and removed requirements relating to seasonal and secondary income. Fannie Mae also amended the post-purchase adjustment process, including a new requirement for the use of the Post-Purchase Adjustment Request form (which was previously optional). In addition, Fannie Mae removed references from the Selling Guide authorizing the release of data to Fannie Mae (as this applies only to legacy loans that are being serviced). The Announcement is effective immediately.
