Fannie Mae Extends Suspension of Foreclosure-Related Activities for Borrowers Impacted by COVID-19, and Temporarily Amends Mortgage Insurance Termination Requirements

Fannie Mae amended Lender Letter LL 2020-02 to extend the suspension of foreclosure-related activities for borrowers impacted by COVID-19. The suspension of foreclosure activities is extended through January 31, 2020. Fannie Mae also temporarily amended policy related to mortgage insurance termination and the verification of an acceptable payment record for borrowers that experience a financial hardship related to COVID-19. The updates are effective immediately.
