Fannie Mae Announces Effective Date for Revised Appraisal Photo Requirements

Fannie Mae issued a Selling Notice (Notice) announcing the effective date for recently revised appraisal photo requirements. On March 1, 2023, Fannie Mae issued Selling Guide Announcement SEL-2023-02 announcing revisions to the Selling Guide with respect to appraisal requirements. The revisions included revised requirements with respect to the interior photographs of the appraised property. Per this Notice, the revised appraisal photograph requirements are effective September 1, 2023 (lenders are, however, encouraged to comply with the revised requirements immediately).
