The CFPB updated the Mortgage Servicing Small Entity Compliance Guide (Compliance Guide) to incorporate the 2021 Mortgage Servicing COVID-19 Final Rule and the 2020 Mortgage Servicing COVID-19 Interim Final Rule provisions. The updated Compliance Guide provides an overview of the Rules, and identifies the servicing areas impacted by the Rules. In addition, the updated Compliance Guide provides guidance with respect to servicing file requirements and the compliant use of multiple electronic systems. The updates to the Compliance Guide are effective August 31, 2021.
