Fannie Mae issued Servicing Guide Announcement SVC-2021-07 (Announcement), setting forth updates to the Servicing Guide. Per the Announcement, Fannie Mae updated requirements for reclassification and repurchase of regular servicing option MBS mortgage loans. Fannie Mae also updated the link to Form 629 (Request for Approval of Servicing or Subservicing Transfer) to require electronic submission through a web-based application (rather than through an email process). Revisions related to reclassification and repurchase of regular servicing option MBS mortgage loans are effective December 1, 2021 (servicers may, however implement the revisions immediately). Revisions related to Form 629 are effective January 1, 2022 (servicers may, however implement the revisions immediately).
