Fannie Mae issued a Servicing Notice (Notice) updating the list of mortgage insurance companies participating in the Mortgage Insurance Claims Portal (MICP). Per the Notice, Fannie Mae updated the MICP Participants Exhibit to include additional mortgage insurers and their applicable MICP participation effective date. Fannie Mae also clarified that the October 1, 2021 effective date for the mortgage insurance claim policy changes announced in Servicing Guide Announcement SVC-2021-04 is based on the liquidation date of the mortgage loan, and not the date on which the mortgage insurance claims was filed. The changes went into effect September 29, 2021.
