FHA issued FHA Info #21-49 announcing enhanced capabilities in the FHA Catalyst: Claims Binder Module. Per the update, lenders and servicers may now use the FHA Catalyst: Claims Binder Module to:
- Receive notification that prevents duplicate claim submissions;
- Add documents and/or files to an existing claim submission; and
- Complete the following actions using an application programming interface (a web based interface):
- Search for a single claim;
- Search in bulk for multiple claims;
- Submit multiple claims;
- Retrieve status on multiple claims;
- Download the status details on each claim made in bulk submissions; and
- Recheck the status on suspended claims.
The enhanced capabilities went into effect June 25, 2021.
