New York Amends Statutory Power of Attorney Provisions

New York passed a bill amending the state’s statutory power of attorney provisions. The bill revised provisions related to definitions, grants of authority for certain subjects, and 3rd party acceptance of a power of attorney, and additionally amended the contents of the Statutory Short Form Power of Attorney.  The bill becomes effective June 13, 2021.
