Hawaii Authorizes Remote Notarizations

Hawaii passed a bill authorizing remote notarizations and establishing requirements for the performance of remote notarizations. A remote notarization is a notarial act performed using communication technology for a remotely located individual. The bill becomes effective January 1, 2021.
