Freddie Mac Issues Bulletin 2020-4: Temporary Servicing Guidance Related to COVID-19

Freddie Mac issued Bulletin 2020-4 (Bulletin), announcing temporary servicing guidance related to COVID-19. The temporary measures will support borrowers that experience hardship resulting from COVID-19 and impact credit reporting requirements, forbearance plans and loan modifications. In addition, servicers are required to suspend all foreclosure sales for the next 60 days (except for vacant and abandoned properties). The temporary servicing guidance is effective immediately.
