North Carolina Increases Permissible Dishonored Check Fee

North Carolina passed a bill increasing the fee that may be imposed for a dishonored check. Under the bill, a lender may now charge up to $35 for a dishonored check (rather than up to $25). The bill becomes effective October 1, 2019.
