Fannie Mae Extends Duration of Temporary Hurricane-Related Requirements

Fannie Mae issued Lender Letter LL-2017-07. Per the Lender Letter, Fannie Mae is extending the disaster policies communicated in recent Lender Letters to all hurricanes occurring in the U.S. and its territories on or after Aug. 25, 2017 and throughout the 2017 hurricane season. The Lender Letter also describes Fannie Mae’s reimbursement policies with respect to property inspections in eligible disaster areas, including the process for obtaining a reimbursement. In addition, the Lender Letter sets forth policy reminders concerning inspections, property repair and reporting of damage. The Lender Letter is dated September 21, 2017.
