VA Revises Servicer Handbook (M26-4)

VA revised chapters 1, 9, 10, 15 and Appendix G of the Servicer Handbook (M26-4). Chapter 1 was revised to include Chapter 19 in the organization of the Servicer Handbook. Chapter 9 was revised to provide clarification on current program policy regarding acceptable title documentation. Chapter 10 was revised to reflect the correct name and signature required for the conveyance of properties to VA and to clarify the type of deed required on Kentucky property conveyances. Chapter 15 was revised to update the types of cases that must be selected for post audit review and to clarify that VA does not require servicers to provide a copy of the deficiency waiver letter on bankruptcy cases. Appendix G was revised to provide updated information regarding the final loan terminating events for judicial foreclosures in Missouri and Wyoming. The revisions were issued on May 9, 2017.
