Montana Reduces License Renewal Fees under Montana Mortgage Act for 2017

Montana adopted rules reducing the license renewal fees under the Montana Mortgage Act (MMA) for 2017. Under the adopted rules, the renewal fee for a license issued under the MMA is reduced by 50% for 2017. As such, to renew a license for the 2017 calendar year, the renewal fee is $375 for a mortgage lender or servicer, $250 for a mortgage broker, $200 for a mortgage loan originator and $125 for a branch office. The 50% reduction sunsets on March 1, 2017. The adopted rules went into effect October 3, 2016.
