HUD issued Mortgagee Letter 2016-09. The Mortgagee Letter announces changes to the delivery methods by which HUD will provide mortgagees with Advice of Payment and Title Approval. With respect to claims processed in the HUD Claims system, HUD will no longer mail hard copies of Advice of Payment and Title Approval letters to holders and servicers and will provide the Advice of Payment and Title Approval letters via FHA Connection only. With respect to claims processed outside of the HUD Claims system (e.g., Hawaiian Home Lands, Indian Lands, and re-conveyance), HUD will continue to provide hard copies of the Advice of Payment and Title Approval letters to holders and servicers by mail.
