RHS Reduces Seasoning Period for Refinance Transactions

RHS issued a SFH Guaranteed Origination Notice (Notice) reducing the seasoning period required before a loan is eligible to be refinanced within the Single-Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program (SFHGLP).  Per the Notice, the existing USDA loan being refinanced must have closed at least 180 days (previously, 12 months) prior to the request for Conditional Commitment. The updates went into effect December 19, 2024.
