VA Requires Use of Loan Review API to Submit Uniform Loan Application Dataset, Uniform Closing Dataset, and Loan Review File in Connection with Full File Loan Review

VA issued Circular 26-24-13 (Circular), requiring the use of VA’s Loan Review API to submit the Uniform Loan Application Dataset (ULAD), Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD), and Loan Review File in connection with a full file loan review (FFLR). Per the Circular, when a loan is selected for a FFLR, lenders must now upload the ULAD, UCD, and Loan Review File using the document upload function of the Loan Review API (rather than submitting the documents through WebLGY).  In addition, responses to deficiencies cited by VA, including requests for incomplete file submissions, should also be submitted through the Loan Review API using the additional documents endpoint. The changes announced in the Circular are effective November 4, 2024.
