VA Removes Interior Access Attempt Requirement for Liquidation Appraisals

VA issued Circular 26-23-13 to remove an interior access attempt requirement with respect to liquidation appraisals. Per the Circular, VA removed the requirement that a fee appraiser visit the property and/or knock on the subject door as one of the interior access attempts for a liquidation assignment of an occupied property. The changes announced in the Circular are effective July 24, 2023.
