FHA Requires Use of Supplemental Consumer Information Form for Mortgage Originations

FHA issued Mortgagee Letter 2023-13 requiring the use of Fannie Mae/ Freddie Mac Form 1103 (Supplemental Consumer Information Form) for mortgage originations. Per the Mortgagee Letter, lenders must provide the Supplemental Consumer Information Form (SCIF) to the borrower at the time of application and must submit the SCIF information to FHA as part of the lender’s required loan application data submissions. The provisions of this Mortgagee Letter are effective for mortgage applications dated on or after August 28, 2023.
