Virginia Allows Employees to Work at Remote Locations

Virginia passed a bill allowing employees to work at remote locations. Under the bill, a mortgage lender or broker licensed under the Mortgage Lender and Broker Act may allow employees to work at a remote location if certain conditions are met.  “Remote location” means a location other than a lender or broker’s principal place of business or office, at which the employees or exclusive agents of a lender or broker may conduct business. The bill becomes effective July 1, 2023.
