Freddie Mac Re-Issues Bulletin 2022-22: Credit Fee Updates

Freddie Mac re-issued Bulletin 2022-22 (Bulletin) announcing changes related to credit fee caps and credits for credit fees. Per the Bulletin, Freddie Mac:

  • Specified that the Duty to Serve Credit Fee Cap will only apply to purchase mortgages, “no cash-out” refinance mortgages, and special purpose cash-out refinance mortgages, and will not apply to cash-out refinance mortgages; and
  • Updated the manufactured home credit fee grid on Guide Exhibit 19 (Credit Fees) to remove the Area Median Income Percent.

Revisions related to the Duty to Serve Credit Fee Cap are effective January 10, 2023. Revisions related the manufactured home credit fee grid are effective January 9, 2023.
