New York Prohibits Discrimination Based on Citizenship or Immigration Status

New York passed a bill prohibiting discrimination based on citizenship or immigration status. Under the bill, a lender may not discriminate against an applicant or borrower based on the applicant or borrower’s citizenship or immigration status. The bill went into effect December 28, 2022.
