Kentucky Allows Employees to Work at Alternate Work Locations

Kentucky passed a bill allowing employees to work at alternate work locations. Under the bill, a mortgage loan company or loan broker licensed under the Mortgage Licensing and Regulation Act (MLRA) may allow employees to work at an alternate work location if certain conditions are met.  “Alternate work location” means a physical location other than the principal office or a branch office. In addition, the bill amended the definition of mortgage loan originator and mortgage servicer under the MLRA, and updated initial and renewal licensing fees under the MLRA. The bill becomes effective July 13, 2022.
