FHA Updates Effective Date for Transition of Single Family Default Monitoring System from FHA Connection to FHA Catalyst

FHA issued Mortgagee Letter 2021-31, updating the effective date for the transition of the Single Family Default Monitoring System (SFDMS) from FHA Connection to FHA Catalyst. Per the Mortgagee Letter, beginning March 1, 2022, mortgagees must submit all default data in the FHA Catalyst: SFDMS Reporting Module or through the Electronic Data Interchange. The initial effective date was announced in Mortgagee Letter 2021-21 and was scheduled for December 1, 2021. A delay of the December 1, 2021 effective date was announced in Mortgagee Letter 2021-30; however, a new effective date was not announced at the time of the delay. The Mortgagee Letter is effective immediately.
