Utah Authorizes Remote Notarizations

Utah passed a bill authorizing remote notarizations and establishing requirements for the performance of remote notarizations. A remote notarization is defined as a notarial act performed for an individual who is not in the physical presence of a remote notary at the time of the notarial act. The bill becomes effective November 1, 2019.
